First edition of the International Conference on Contemporary Music, organized by Transilvania University, Faculty of Music in partnership with the Philharmonic of Brașov, will take place at Aula Magna. Dedicated this year to one of the greatest composers and architects of the 20th century – Iannis Xenakis (born in Romania in1922) – the event hosts well-known musicians, composers, researchers and architects. IRCAM Paris, Sorbonne, Paris VIII, Berlin, Cologne, Vienna,Toulouse, Evora, Leeds, Athens, Salzburg, Torun, Edinburg are the centers that will create bridges of intellectual emulation with Transilvania University. During three days, apart from the appreciated scientific papers that provide valuable interdisciplinary knowledge, international artists, experts in Xenakis's music are enchanting the audience with concerts and recitals.
